About Area
Area is platform to connect our digital lives to the real world – the metaverse on Earth. We support and seed digital asset publishers that create and curate geolocated NFTs, products, or experiences. Our ecosystem will be supported by an NFT collection of real-world locations and a token, which will be used to claim real-world benefits. Our flagship publishers include Light.art, a highly-curated photography NFT platform and The Explorer’s Guild, a curator of high-quality travel experiences.

The Role
We are a small team, but highly accomplished. We are looking for a marketing lead of equal caliber to join early and handle all aspects of marketing. We will consider a co-founder role for exceptional individuals.

As a marketing lead you will take ownership of all aspects of marketing, from strategy to execution, eventually building a team as we grow the platform. You will be designing, leading, and implementing our growth strategy. You will focus on driving our brand development and take responsibility for the full marketing strategy. This role is also an execution role and you will be expected to use your fundamental skills in writing, editing and pushing with high-energy. We recognize this is a role for an all-around person and will consider execution-level candidates that demonstrate they can growth into a more strategic role over time.


Responsibilities
- Own Area, Light.art and Explorer’s Guild brand, growth and marketing strategies
- Understand our community and identify opportunities for growth
- Create and execute campaigns from conception to writing and publication
- Drive acquisition, conversion & brand impact
- Be the point of contact for PR and communications
- Build and lead the marketing team over time

Minimum Requirements
- Excellent command of English language
- An entrepreneurial self-starting mindset
- High-performance mindset
- Experience running marketing campaigns
- Team player
