About the Job

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with interest in web3 and blockchain and experience in working with large distributed or replicated systems. Your assignment will be to facilitate the efforts of the engineering team through development of custom tooling, designing development processes and enabling insight into the operational software metrics in a cutting edge technology environment.

Your main focus will be the Polygon Edge, an open-source modular blockchain development framework built for engineers who want to create their own blockchains. The framework allows for the creation of both secured chains (Layer-2 blockchains) and standalone Ethereum sidechains.

Polygon Edge is an integral part of Polygon’s offering of scaling solutions with the mission to become the gateway and the standard for building the multi-chain future.

Responsibilities:

- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Identifying, measuring and monitoring of technical product KPIs
- Giving back to the open-source community through tools and infrastructure templates
- Autonomously proposing and specifying changes and improvements to current processes and systems
- Maintenance of hosted testing resources
- Mentoring and guidance of less experienced colleagues
- Leading the fuzz-testing, performance-testing and load-testing efforts
- Writing specifications for infrastructure / tooling / monitoring system upgrades
- Keeping track of latest DevOps trends and software integrations in the web3 ecosystem

Requirements:

- You have a deep understanding of blockchain technology
- You have experience working with distributed systems or large microservice architectures
- You have the knowledge and experience working with common DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, telemetry collection frameworks, HashiCorp product suite)
- You have expertise in working with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud platforms
- You have strong foundational knowledge of the Linux networking stack, CLI and OS internals
- You have a broad knowledge of web3 technologies, including Enterprise blockchain usage, L1 solutions
- You have technical knowledge and engineering experience to be able to participate in high-level discussions of technical solutions with the engineering team
- Good knowledge of the Go programming language

Preferred:

- General software engineering experience outside of DevOps or system administration
- Experience working with blockchain systems

The project you will be working on is Polygon Edge, a blockchain node software for spinning up standalone private/public blockchains and you will be closely collaborating with other projects within the Polygon ecosystem.

MVP Workshop is a Web3 venture builder driven by the exploration of disruptive technologies and their application in real-life scenarios.

We are a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and product folk interested in cutting-edge Web3 technologies. Over the past 5 years, we fell in love with everything blockchain and have been gathering valuable experience with defining, building, and growing crypto products in partnership with our clients, as well as doing our R&D in-house.
