👋🏻 Bio

active 8 months ago Actively looking
I've been working in the blockchain industry for over 8 years during which time I've founded teams and businesses developing projects including a complete layer 1 blockchain with $5 million of initial funding, an AMM and DEX for Gnosis, Celo and Kava networks, multiple mobile crypto wallets, decentralised document and software signing tools and more.

Presently I'm working on new controller contracts for Balancer as well as updated to another AMM.

As well as founding and running projects and communities while being a very hands on technical lead, I'm presently Head of Technology for a London based forex that requires me to manage teams in multiple countries, engage with regulators in multiple countries and oversee the development of high value tradfi exchange systems.

Solidity Cloud Computing Software Engineering Graphql Vue.js
Symmetric is an Automatic Market Maker (AMM) and exchange running on the Gnosis, Celo and Kava networks. This project was started initially under Cent Finance but was spun out as an independent DAO governed project.

I led the initiative to launch Symmetric V1, particularly covering engineering activities as the engineering lead. I also created the infrastructure, oversaw project security, created the Discord channel and community, created the DAO, created the project teams and Kanban board on GitHub, created and ran the private token sale and public coin launch, created the projects ERC20 coin, worked with auditors for the contracts, developed tokenomics and built out the engineering team. V1 launched initially on the Gnosis network then later the Celo network.

Symmetric V2 was launched in 2022 on Gnosis, Celo and Kava networks and I’m presently working on re-writing all the core contracts in SmartPy for the Tezos network.
I’m also the sole developer working on new controller smart contracts and bonding curves for Balancer-Labs to enable Balancer to support more complex automated managed pool types. Work is carried out in my own time.
I’m presently only involved as an advisor and contributing some code including new smart contracts as required by the community and partners.

Chief Technology Officer / Chief Executive Officer Atlas City Global
March 2017 to September 2020 (3 yrs 6 mos) ▪️ Full-time ▪️ London, UK
Blockchain Development Solidity C++ Software Engineering C#
I led the engineering team, designing and developing a new .NET based blockchain and supporting toolkits including mobile wallets, web-based block explorers, SDK’s and development plugins for Visual Studio and Visual Code.

Published white papers on the design, contributed towards code bases including writing the original .NET blockchain code base since the development team had minimal experience with .NET. As the team that had more experience in C++ and mobile development became more accustomed to .NET, I led the team while continuing to be involved in design and development activities.

Initially I worked part time up to February 2018 while the company secured funding. Some
of the work includes the following.

• Evaluated many blockchain code bases.
• Worked on technical papers, architectural design and development of Catalyst protocol.
• Created hardened infrastructure in Azure suitable for running a centralised exchange and ICO platform.
• Worked with MBAs to research market opportunities in property, gaming/gambling, and insurance industries.
• Wrote one early PoC blockchain code base in .NET before moving on to work with the team on the main .NET Catalyst blockchain code base.
• Worked hands-on with many projects while also covering leadership of the technology and teams.
• Managed a team of around 25 people, mostly engineers and researchers plus some BA’s, legal, accounts etc.
• Worked on the creation of the Catalyst GitHub, community and preparing to launch a DAO to help coordinate the work for the community.

I recently completed work to upgrade the code base to .NET 6 as well as merge in EVM updates from Ethereum.
