Agoric is an open-source development company bringing better security and composability to developers in the decentralized financial infrastructure of today. Agoric offers a JavaScript library of reusable components built by experienced community members. Our secure JavaScript smart contract platform allows developers to rapidly build secure applications on top of an ever-growing collection of reusable governance, lending, and trading components.

The Agoric platform enables developers to build smart-contract financial transactions in the blockchain ecosystem. We strive to be the Node.js for FinTech smart contracts.
We’ve done the legwork to create a reliable, secure and composable DeFi infrastructure. Now we are seeking a talented Community and Growth Manager to join our marketing team and help us grow and open doors to the larger DeFi and FinTech markets.

The ideal candidate should be excited by the opportunity to help bring DeFi to the mainstream Javascript community. You will be an integral part of the Agoric marketing team, working closely with internal and external developer communities.
This role is primarily external facing, whose goal is to build and grow the Agoric community by driving engagement and acquiring developers. Collaborating with the Marketing Manager to execute on the defined marketing strategy, you will lead a variety of global events and marketing programs.

**What you will be doing**

* Strategize - Build, scale, and optimize our digital marketing channels (e.g. Twitter, Email, Discord, Telegram) as well as our event presence (online and physical)
* Manage - Ensure you have buy-in from the marketing department, that your partners are ready, and that web collateral, copy, and resources are in place to execute your strategies.
* Execute - Launch growth campaigns with the goal to acquire and retain a wide range of users and developers. How do we get our first 10, 100, and 1,000? Lead events such as hackathons, meetups, conferences and company events.
* Analyze - Track, test, and iterate on your growth efforts using analytic dashboards (e.g. Google, Twitter, Discord)
* Acquire - Identify and leverage our roster that includes distribution channels, ecosystem partners, influencers, media contacts, and others to engage audiences with Agoric content and releases.

**What we look for in you**

* 2-3 years of experience in a marketing role in a high growth environment
* BA or BS in Marketing or Communications, or commensurate industry experience
* Knowledge of the crypto ecosystem
* Well-versed in social media/communication / PR channels
* Familiar with social network platforms & analytics
* Experience writing and posting content on WordPress, Medium, or other content publication platforms
* Highly organized, strong project management skills
* Fluency in English (verbal and written)
* Excited to be in an early-stage startup and laying the foundation of a brand’s marketing efforts and channels

* Marketing experience in DeFi / FinTech
